Reactivated LILITU Issues Update

January 22, 2008

Guitarist/vocalist Henry Derek Bonner of Atlanta's reactivated "artistic melodic dark metal" band LILITU has issued the following update:

"After many many months of silence, LILITU has reformed and drastically changed directions. With the addition of J. Blake S. from Georgia-based black metal band HILLS OF SEFIROTH, LILITU will continue as a two-piece, with founding member Henry Derek Bonner.

"A drastic departure from what you heard on 'The Delores Lesion' (The End Records),the songs currently being demoed hearken back to the bands much rawer roots; adding many influences of raw, cold Norwegian black metal, and earthen folk acoustics — the revamped LILITU are geared to offer a dark black ritual as yet not heard by their fans."

"2008 will bring new exciting things for LILITU. One being a triumphant return to the forefront of the metal genre, re-establishing their role as an elite tour de force. Having already maintaining cult status, the band is working on a new album which will redefine and expand the band's original sound. Combining elements of traditional European folk, neo-classical, progressive rock, experimental-avant garde and old-school black metal, the primary influence for the upcoming gem stems from the Romanian philosopher, E. M. Cioran. The album is tentatively titled 'Directions For Decomposition: Variations On Death' and will be completed by summer 2008.

"Forget everything that you know about LILITU as a whole.

"I have been extremely busy with other projects. I am sure that many of you know of BLOOD PROMISE.

"Somewhere along the line, I lost focus and put LILITU aside. I have also been part of the process with THE SWEET MEAT LOVE AND HOLY CULT with Jarboe, among others. Then there's this new crazy thing with King (GORGOROTH) and Mr. Caggiano (ANTHRAX). Things are going well and I am being productive overall. I am certainly excited to get things going again and I think that a lot of you will be pleasantly suprised and some will just roll your eyes and proceed to complain on various metal forums. I am geared up and ready. I am using a lot of different session players as well as incorporating new elements and it's going to be a good time.

"Having said this, I will be putting some pre-production stuff up for you fine folks to hear. Please keep in mind that these are demos and DEMO material only. I will be getting a decent budget to record a kick-ass album."
